Casa Gregorio – A Roman Countryside Culinary Holiday, awarded a Certificate of Honor and Excellence for its outstanding achievement in promoting tourism in the authentic undiscovered Roman Countryside, bringing thousands to the historical town of Castro de Volsci.
Castro dei Volsci, Italy – The town of Castro Dei Volsci, via its Municipality and Mayor, Leonardo Ambrosi, will be presenting the Certificate of Honor and Excellence in a special ceremony on Friday,
November 18 at noon local time at the 17th-century main palazzo of Casa Gregorio.
About Casa Gregorio and its founder Gregory Tesolin Aulensi – Gregory arrived in Castro dei Volsci, Italy, a small hilltop medieval town in the summer of 2006 and has made his “Under the Tuscan Sun” dream a reality, where he fell in love with a beautiful 17th-century palazzo in terrible need of restoration. He transformed this abandoned 12,000-square-foot palazzo into Casa Gregorio, the first all-inclusive culinary destination in the Roman Countryside, and, through the years, has added other adjacent buildings creating a magical experience in an exceptional authentic enclave in the scenic hilltop region of Castro dei Volsci.
What was once abandoned has now come back to life, enriching guests from near and far. A “Taste of the Roman Countryside,” and “A Taste of La Dolce Vita” Culinary Vacation programs offer hands-on cooking classes and daily excursions focusing on historical attractions and culinary delicacies, all set in a family-based environment with attention to detail. Guest service has been the key to Casa Gregorio’s success. Since Casa Gregorio’s opening, they have appeared on RAI’s most acclaimed travel show, “Sereno Variabile,” interviewed on ExTRA TV, featured on Roma Uno’s “Vieni in Ciociaria,” showcased on InStyle Magazine, and hosted Camila Alves, Matthew McConaughey’s wife, during a 13-page photo shoot for Qui Magazine.
