A complete four course menu is created with our chef to further the gourmet culinary experience of being in the Roman countryside.

Transfers from Fiumicino Airport or the local train station to Casa Gregorio
Your Culinary Vacation begins with transfers from the Rome Fiumicino Airport to Casa Gregorio’s Villa Marcello, where a welcome Aperitivo is followed by Appetizers and Registrations. Following Registrations, you will enjoy a short guided tour of the medieval town of Castro dei Volsci.
In the evening, “La Dolce Vita” begins with our special welcome dinner served at Taverna Casa Gregorio!
Today begins with a perfect Italian coffee and breakfast. In the newly renovated Bar of Casa Gregorio. Cooking class follows where you meet our chef and together you will create a perfect antipasto, a sumptuous primo piatto, a delicious secondo with the proper contorni and a fabulous dessert. You will enjoy the food prepared with our chef at one of the Casa Gregorio dining facilities with some of the best local wines selected to enhance and highlight the quality of the food.
After a perfect espresso or cappuccino to close your lunch, the afternoon continues with a visit to the Water Buffalo Cheese Factory of “Ponte di Legno” in the town of Amaseno, with a taste of our famous “Mozzarella di Bufala”. The tour continues with a visit to the “Abbey of Fossanova” on your journey to the Tyrrhenian seaside. Then diner by the beach at the local Trattoria Centosedici, located in the seaside town of Terracina.
La Dolce Vita continues with a traditional Italian breakfast at Casa Gregorio Bar. After breakfast, it is time to start preparing your second menu together with our chef and enjoyed with a special selection of wines in one the charming Casa Gregorio’s dining rooms.
Today’s afternoon begins with a stop to NeroKaffè for a coffee bean and tasting experience, followed by a visit at Prosciuttificio (Prosciutto Factory) Erzinio in the town of Guarcino, “The Parma of Ciociaria”, and have a sample of authentic Amaretti cookies.
Today after breakfast at Casa Gregorio, you have a free morning to enjoy a walk in the hills around or just relax. We continue our Dolce Vita experience at Casa Gregorio’s kitchen where with our chef you will prepare yet another 4-course meal and enjoy the dining ambiance of our 16th century Frantoio, savoring your culinary delights accompanied by yet another selection of local wines.
In the afternoon, the experience begins at the Abbey of Montecassino, one of the most spectacular site of the whole country, and continues visiting one of the best wineries of Ciociaria, “Villa La Ferriera” in Atina, where you visit the cantina and our host will introduce you to the making and testing of wine. Our dinner tonight is at the “Old Cantina Visocchi” now totally restored with antique winery relics into a sophisticated restaurant called Mantic. Our host Valentina, gives us a taste and sampling of yet another fantastic wine of the region, followed by dinner.
Breakfast/Brunch today is served at Casa Gregorio Cappuccino Bar. After breakfast, stroll the cobblestone streets of Castro Dei Volsci and visit the Artisan shops where you can participate with the artisans in learning the traditional art that has been passed down generation to generation. This is a great time to find that treasured memento to remember your visit with us.
In the early afternoon, Chef Valerio walks you through making the Perfect Pizza Dough and at 5:00 pm it is the Pizza Party concluding our culinary week. On this last evening join us in the Tavern for a night of entertainment.
After breakfast at Casa Gregorio the day continues with our Olive Oil Tour in the town of Arpino, birthplace of Cicero and land of the Olives. We visit a traditional Olive Oil Mill and are explained the process of how to make Extra Virgin Olive Oil. We then proceed to a local estate and taste the fresh Olive Oil. A light lunch with flavors of the oil and a sample of some of the owner’s organic wine to accompany our visit.
After lunch is time to go back to Castro dei Volsci with some time to relax. Our final nights farewell dinner is in our towns local restaurant Il Ditirambo, where a special menu, created by its chef to mix up local traditions and new suggestions is a way we think is best to conclude your “La Dolce Vita” dining experience and to extend to you our “Arrivederci!”.
